この論文の、The most interesting result is the sparing in analog number scale, whereby PWS seem, overall, to outperform controls. というくだりの、analog number scaleというのは、具体的にどんな内容なんだろう。英語苦手な僕にはよく分らないですね。数のスケールということは、位取り、なのでしょうか？どなたか詳しい方教えてください。
いずれにしても欠失型の場合（アーチャンも欠失型）は、数学の能力が低いようですね。それを補うようなかたちで、視覚能力が良くなっているとの推測のようですね。
